Asked about his political associations and plans to join the mainstream politics, Shahrukh said, “I have been too long in this profession to change it. Politics is a full time job. For joining politics, one needs to be a professional politician.”
“A professional politician has to be selfless. You should be happy with your life so that they can work for people. I am not selfless. Also, I don’t know politics," he added.

Sushmita Sen seems to have found her new love in successful businessman Imtiyaz Khatri, who is a resident of Juhu in Mumbai.
After having several relationship, 36-year-old Sushmita Sen has apparently fallen for 22-year-old Imtiyaz Khatri, who heads a well-known infrastructure group.
Sushmita and Imtiyaz began creating buzz when Imtiyaz's company sponsored the first ever India Resort Fashion Week (IRFW) in Goa. He had then walked the ramp with Sushmita. Since then, the two have reportedly been frequently spotted catching up or partying together.
Though Imtiyaz does not deny going out with Sushmita, he is quick to add that they always went out with a group of friends, and never alone. When prodded further, Imtiyaz accepted that many people having been asking him if he was dating Sushmita Sen. He then signed off saying, “Logon ka to kaam hai kehna.”
Hmmm...it seems like Sushmita Sen has taught Imtiyaz Khatri really well the art of denying!

Cruise takes Christmas with $26.5m 'Mission'
Los Angeles: Tom Cruise's latest mission has won a holiday weekend that's shaping up with some silent nights at movie theaters as business continues to lag.
Studio estimates Sunday placed Cruise's 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' a solid No. 1 with $26.5 million domestically over its first weekend in full release. The movie raised its total to $59 million since it started a week earlier in huge-screen cinemas and expanded nationwide last Wednesday, and distributor Paramount estimated that revenues will reach $72.7 million by Monday.
Cruise's fourth 'Mission' flick was a bright spot over a Christmas weekend filled with so-so tidings for Hollywood, whose usually busy holiday stretch since Thanksgiving has been a bust.
Generally well-reviewed movies from Steven Spielberg ("The Adventures of Tintin"), David Fincher ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") and Cameron Crowe ("We Bought a Zoo") - with casts that include Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson and Daniel Craig - opened with modest to weak results.
Despite predictions from studio executives that 2011 could be a record-setter that would finish with a bang, domestic revenues remained stuck at a sluggish pace that has lingered all year.
Hollywood should finish the year with $10.1 billion domestically, down 4.5 percent from 2010, according to box-office tracker Hollywood.com.
The picture gets worse taking into account higher ticket prices, which mean Hollywood brings in fewer fans for each dollar spent. Actual domestic attendance for 2011 will close out at about 1.27 billion, down 5.3 percent from the previous year's and the lowest head count since 1995, when admissions totaled 1.26 billion.
"Thank God 2011 is almost over, because we've had a real rough run here at the end of the year," said Hollywood.com analyst Paul Dergarabedian. "We always count on the holiday season to give us a big boost at the end of the year, and it just didn't happen.
"These admission numbers this year just tell me that we maybe have to set our sights a little lower in terms of attendance every year."
Since peaking at a modern high of 1.6 billion in 2002, domestic movie admissions have been on a general decline since.
Studio executives always insist that slow times result from weak films, but on paper, the strong lineup Hollywood presented this year should have had fans lining up in huge numbers. Pretty good films are out there this holiday season, yet blockbuster expectations fizzled, a sign that people might be skipping a trip to the theater in favor of home-viewing, video games or the countless other entertainment options their gadgets now offer.
Rising ticket prices, particularly the extra few dollars it costs to see 3-D films, also could be causing a backlash among fans.
With "Ghost Protocol" climbing toward the $100 million mark, it's a return to box-office form for Cruise, who had been Hollywood's most-dependable earner for two decades until he turned off fans with odd antics in his personal life six years ago.
'Ghost Protocol' will be Cruise's first top-billed $100 million hit since 2006's 'Mission: Impossible III'. He had a supporting role in 2008's $100 million comedy hit 'Tropic Thunder', which was headlined by Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black.
Even with a No. 1 debut, 'Ghost Protocol' still was a shadow of its predecessors. The first three 'Mission: Impossible' movies ranged from $45 million to $58 million over opening weekend, but those installments opened at the start of the busy summer season.
As of Friday, 'Ghost Protocol' also had brought in a healthy $118 million overseas.
Downey's 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' fell from No., 1 to No. 2 in its second weekend with $17.8 million. The family sequel "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" dropped from second to third with $13.3 million.
Both sequels trail well behind the business their predecessors did. 'A Game of Shadows', from Warner Bros., lifted its domestic haul to $76.6 million, while 20th Century Fox's 'Chipwrecked' pushed its receipts to $50.3 million.
The weekend's newcomers failed to light up the box office, too. Fincher and Craig's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' from Sony was No. 4 with $13 million, Spielberg's "The Adventures of Tintin" from Paramount was No. 5 with $9.1 million and Crowe, Damon and Johansson's 'We Bought a Zoo' from 20th Century Fox was No. 6 with $7.8 million.
'Dragon Tattoo' raised its total to $21.4 million since opening Tuesday night, while 'Tintin' lifted its take to $17.1 million since debuting Wednesday.
European literary exports 'Dragon Tattoo', adapted from Stieg Larsson's Swedish best-seller, and 'Tintin', based on Belgian artist Herge's storybook classics, are finding a lukewarm reception among U.S. crowds.
'Dragon Tattoo' has been a sensation among U.S. readers yet failed to challenge 'Mission: Impossible' and the other established franchises at the top of the box office.
Beloved by generations of readers overseas, 'Tintin' launched internationally two months ahead of its U.S. release. But the blockbuster global attention, with nearly $250 million already in the bank from foreign markets, did not translate to crowds in the United States.
The calendar made it a tough weekend for Hollywood, with Christmas Eve - always a slow night for movie-going - falling on Saturday, usually the best day of the week at theaters.
Christmas Day typically is a strong one for movies, as fans squeeze in a film between unwrapping presents and sitting down to family dinners.
Two big holiday releases - Spielberg's World War I epic 'War Horse' and Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock's Sept. 11 drama 'Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close' - opened Christmas Day, but estimates on their revenues will not be available until Monday.
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Hollywood.com. Where available, latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.
1. 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol', $26.5 million.
2. 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows', $17.8 million.
3. 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked', $13.3 million ($20.1 million international).
4. 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', $13 million.
5. 'The Adventures of Tintin', $9.1 million.
6. 'We Bought a Zoo', $7.8 million ($1.1 million international).
7. 'New Year's Eve', $3 million.
8. 'Arthur Christmas', $2.7 million ($9.7 million international).
9. 'Hugo', $2.03 million.
10. 'The Muppets', $2 million ($500,000 international).

Lady Gaga to appear on Japan New Year's music show
American pop diva Lady Gaga will appear via videolink on a popular Japanese music competition on New Year's Eve, public broadcaster NHK says.
The eccentric star's appearance on "Kohaku Uta Gassen", an annual singing competition between male and female entertainers, will including her singing and delivering encouraging messages over Japan's devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the broadcaster said on Saturday.
The quake-tsunami catastrophe killed about 20,000 people on Japan's northeast coast and sparked the world's worst nuclear accident since the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, leading to a plunge in visitors to the country.
The songstress visited Japan twice after the disaster and called on tourists from around the world to follow suit, and attended events to support reconstruction of disaster-hit areas.
A song and message from the singer will be recorded shortly before the show, NHK said.
Will Shah Rukh ring in New Year aboard QE2
Shah Rukh Khan plans to let his hair down with family and usher in the New Year in Dubai this time round.
The overworked (and overpaid too, some might say) Badshah Khan of Bollywood has been working non-stop as he has had back-to-back releases after ages, and has confirmed that he will be in the emirate during New Year’s eve.
At an event, SRK revealed: “I have been working round-the-clock. It’s time I shave my beard, cut my hair, spend time with the kids… I will be off to Dubai with family for 4-5 days, a short break. After which, I will be back to shoot for Yashji’s romantic film. We might start the shoot by January 8, 2012.”
It should be noted that Dubai is the favourite party place for Bollywood’s leading actors, including SRK, who spent the last New Year’s Eve in Dubai too.
Khan has an abode on the man-made Palm Jumeirah, but he reportedly celebrated his 45th birthday with a lavish three-day event at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. So can his fans expect to see him party with his family and friends on the QE2 on New Year’s Eve? He’s not saying so, but speculation is rife about the venue of his party.
The only thing we’re sure about is that well-known workaholic will be in the emirate with his family for four to five days on a short break from his hectic schedule.
His fans usually do not get to watch him in more than one film per year.
SRK’s much-hyped Ra.One released in October and the second edition of Don released last week.
And is his New Year bash the reason why Shah Rukh Khan and the team of Don 2 chose to ignore Dubai for its global premiere and instead decide to go to Patna (an eastern Indian city) to promote the film?
Was SRK’s publicist worried that Dubai might get an overdose of King Khan? After all, SRK was in Dubai earlier in November to promote Don 2 during Dubai International Film Festival with the film's director Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra.
Given the not-so-lustrous performance of his films at the box office, his PR team might be looking for ways to provide a much-needed shot in the arm.

Katrina Kaif turns vulgar in Chikni Chameli?
If you think Katrina Kaif was bold in item number 'Sheila ki Jawani' from Tees Maar Khan, think again! If you have seen Katrina sizzle in 'Chikni Chameli' from Agneepath, you will agree that Kat never looked hotter than this!
Dressed in bright red coloured tight cholis, with short ghagras, Katrina Kaif is undoubtedly looking super hot in item number 'Chikni Chameli'! Not only have her clothes become bold, Katrina's moves and gestures also seem extremely provocative, crude and suggestive. However, anybody who has seen Katrina in 'Chikni Chameli' will vouch for the fact that Katrina Kaif looks extremely decent and yet sizzles the screen!
It is possibly the innocence combined with drop-dead gorgeous looks that stop Katrina Kaif from bordering into the 'vulgarity zone.'
Very few women are lucky enough to be compared to yesteryears Bollywood cabaret dancer Helen, who in spite of her dare-bare acts managed to keep away from being vulgar. Katrina Kaif can now be counted in that category!

After the grilling session, the housemates say that they would not do anything in the house except for actively participating in the tasks. Carrying on in the gloomy mood, Amar and Pooja Mishra are seen bitching bout Juhi Parmar and her self-centeredness in the pink room.
The next day starts with an ever enthusiastic song - ‘Crazzy Kiya Re’, to which none of the contestants are seen dancing. It turns out to be a lazy morning in the house. Amar says he would have been excited to see either Sachin, Dravid, Kapil Dev or Bhajji in the house.
Soon Symonds and Pooja Mishra are asked to lease the house since they were not contestants but were guests on the show. While Andrew is ready and is waiting for Pooja Mishra, Siddharth manages to get time to talk to Symonds, who advises him to play the game sensibly hence forth and act a little matured and live up to all that Salman has advised him to. While Pooja packs her bags, Sunny Leone and Amar tell her that this time she can strut out with her head held high. Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor to turn friends again?
Bollywood's one of the most talked about cat fights between Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor might see its end very soon. The eyewitnesses in an event were surprised to see the arch rivals hugging each other warmly that definitely leads to certain possibility of friendship between the duo.
During an Entertainment awards event in Andheri, Priyanka made the first shocking move to give Kareena a warm hug. The Kapoor girl taken unawares was forced to extend a warm hug too. Well, this was a publicity stunt or real reconciliation, is still a mystery to us.
Priyanka and Kareena are the two Bollywood actresses who have been rival since their days of Aitraaz. The Bebo-PC fight started when Priyanka's outstanding performance in Aitraaz overshadowed Kareena's presence in the film. The on-screen enmity soon turned personal when Shahid Kapur became the love interest of both the ladies.
It seems Priyanka is now on her way to mend all her strained relationships. In fact Piggy Chops recently did a same jadu ki jhappi act to end her fight with Salman Khan.

Oru Marubhoomi Kadha Review
Finally, after a gap of seven years, Veteran Director Priyadarshan and superstar Mohanlal are back together in "Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum in Oru Marubhoomi Kadha", a light-hearted film meant to evoke non-stop laughter, mixing slapstick comedy with amusing wisecracks from Mohanlal and Mukesh. To a large extend, the director has succeeded in his attempt though the story thread is very thin. Along with Mohanlal and Mukesh, others in the cast are Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana, Suraj Venjarumoodu, Innocent, Shakti Kapoor, Mammukoya and Lakshmi Gopalaswami.
P.Madhavan Nair (Mohanlal) is an accountant in a Gulf based firm owned by a Sheik (Shakthi Kapoor). After years of toiling in the desert, he is comfortably settled. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Meenakshi (Lakshmi Rai) enters his life and after some bizarre incidents, the two get married. But there are more weird developments and Madhavan Nair finds himself with an old crony Abdu Kupleri (Mukesh), who had dropped in to his office for some help. Soon the two get involved with another girl Ileana (Bhavana) whom they found kidnapped and kept in a car parked near the desert. What follows is a roller coaster ride by the three, full of fun and laughter.
The movie has tried it’s best to be an out and out comedy and it has managed to rake up laughter on quite a few occasions. The slapstick comedy is sometimes monotonous with characters slapping each other mechanically. Spliced here and there, there are a few smatterings of melodrama to satisfy the pensive viewer. Sadly, those who have seen Priyadarshan’s previous movies will be overcome with a feeling of dĂ©jĂ vu, many of the scenes resembling those from his older films. But among the new generation, the comedy and the comical and absurd verbal exchanges between Mohanlal and Mukash will have quite a few takers. Priyadarshan is at his best when handling comedy and he has shown his dexterity in this film too, particularly in the first half. Bhavana’s entry in particular will evoke riotous laughter.
The silver lining in the movie is the acting of Mohanlal and Mukesh. Mohanlal drawing from his acting repertoire, has given an amazing and graceful performance bringing back memories of some of his previous flicks with Priyan. Mukesh compliments Lal with another sterling performance. The two with their verbal wisecracks and quick repartees provide plenty of entertainment. Bhavana and Lakshmi Rai have limited roles which they have managed without being remarkable. Suraj Venjaramoodu has the usual jokes while Nedumudi Venu, Shakti Kapoor and Innocent have not been very noteworthy. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, however, has impressed in her brief appearance.
Priyadarshan wrote the script which is hilarious but without substance. Azhagappan’s camera and M.J.Sreekumar’s music are impressive. Editing by Suresh T.S. is generally sound.
A light hearted entertainer, ‘Oru Marubhumi Kadha” should be seen as such. The movie is often inane, almost empty of any story, no message, but to spend time away from the everyday worries and anxieties, there may not be a better choice. The plots are absurd, the story is wafer thin, but if you approach it with a carefree heart, you will enjoy the movie.

Ban on Malayalam films in Tamil Nadu
The Mullaiperiyar conflict is burgeoning into a bigger issue than before and on the entertainment front too, there seems to be some trouble. There are some rumors floating around the entertainment industry in both these states that Tamil Nadu might issue a ban on Malayalam films releasing in the state.
Though nothing official regarding this has been issued yet, there are talks that Malayalam films might not see a release in TN if a solution for the Mullaiperiyar issue is not met with.
There are a handful of Malayalam films ready for release. One is a Mohanlal film under the direction of Priyadarshan. This film is titled 'Arabiyum Ottakam P Madhavan Nairum In Oru Marubhoomikatha.' Then there is also a Mammootty movie titled Venicile Vyapari', which will also see a release soon. Mohanlal and Mammootty films see a good run in Tamil Nadu because of a good crowd from Kerala that has made Tamil Nadu as its home.
Also Superstar, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith and Suriya films have a good fan following in Kerala. Film folks have remained silent in both states regarding the Mullaiperiyar issue. Now with the rumors floating about a ban on Malayalam films in TN it remains to be seen how Kerala will react to this situation if it is true.

Distributors ban Kamal, Jayaraj
Distributors' Association has decided to ban Kamal and Jayaraj, accusing them both for unilaterally releasing their films on November 25th, even after the Distributors' Association requested them not to release their films before November 27th.
Refusing to pay heed to the association's direction, six distribution companies took initiative to release Jayaraj film Nayika and Kamal's Swapna Sanchari on November 25th itself.
Considering the release of the move as an insult, distributors' association decided to ban both directors and serve a show cause notice to those distribution companies, which released those films.
Responding to the news Kamal said "I feel this ban a comedy. How can they ban me as I am not a member of distributors association. Producer and distributors have decided to release the film. It is my duty to stay with the producer to release the film on 25 itself."
Director Jayaraj was not ready to respond. But he said, he would discuss the issue in the meeting of FEFKA. Secretary of FEFKA, B Unni Krishnan said that he got to know about the ban only from media. If they send a letter officially, surely he would respond to it. However, Exhibitors' Federation said that they would continue providing their support to both the directors in future.

'Battleship' Trailer: Rihanna Speaks, Aliens Attack
When we saw the first trailer for Peter Berg's big-screen adaptation of the Hasbro game Battleship, there were "Blue Crush" and "Armageddon" vibes with regard to how we meet the main characters. Its roster is filled with some of Hollywood's most attractive players, after all, including Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna.
Now, we have a new trailer that has done away with any expositional elements in favor of full-throttle action sequences. Here are five key elements to take away from this new footage:
Man vs. Sea vs. Aliens
The trailer opens with sweeping shots over the deep blue sea with the ominous wording: "The ocean. Vast. Unexplored. The perfect place to hide" ... an alien race! We see "Tremor"-esque sea-monster aliens, flying-airship-type aliens and even a robotic, human-creature-hybrid alien. They swim, fly and fight — in the ocean!
Rihanna Speaks!
Last time, all we got of the singing star's feature-film debut was a quick cut of her on a boat. This time, she's in on the action, gun in hand, and we see that her character is a trusted, capable, strong Marine. And she speaks too! "My dad said they would come," she says over shots of the aliens wreaking havoc around the world. "He say, 'We ain't alone.' He say one day we'd find them or they'd find us."
The "Transformers" Effect
From the first familiarly synthesized notes of the music to the disclaimer "From the company that brought you "Transformers," there are more than a few similarities between Michael Bay's take on the robots in disguise and Berg's aquatic version. Judging from what we see here, they're not creatures; they're robotic, computerized machines that, like Transformers, seem to possess the power to instantly adapt to their surroundings and change size and shape.
War Games
There are a few hints that the movie draws inspiration from the Hasbro game. Liam Neeson's character announces the start of the simulated and military-sanctioned "naval war games." Then, during a meeting at the Pentagon, a high-ranking official says, "Three destroyers are unaccounted for." This name-checks a type of ship in the game and has just the amount of military official-ness in it to suggest the "Who sunk my battleship?" line might be included somewhere.
Supporting-Cast Shout-Outs
For those looking for more glimpses of the attractive castmembers, SkarsgÄrd's involvement is limited to a couple lines of dialogue and one very odd explosion sequence in which we see the force of the blow play out across his face. Decker gets a couple of nods, one kiss with Kitsch and one wearing a life vest looking out to the horizon with a worried look. "Friday Night Lights" fans will probably be most pleased to see good ol' Landry (Jesse Plemons) in the mix as one of the soldiers serving aboard Kitsch and Neeson's battleship.

Playboy advances Lohan issue after leaked photos
Los Angeles: Playboy magazine is advancing the newsstand date for its upcoming issue with nude pictures of actress Lindsay Lohan in part due to photos that were leaked online in advance, Hugh Hefner said on Friday.
The Playboy founder tweeted that the issue will now go on sale late next week, which roughly coincides with the December 15 airdate for Lohan's planned interview on Ellen DeGeneres' TV talk show.
"Because of the interest & the internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early," Hefner posted on Twitter. He later added that "her issue goes on sale late next week," although he did not give a specific date.
A spokeswoman for the men's magazine did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking more information.
Lohan, who has seen her career spiral downward in recent years due to drunken driving, drug and theft convictions, recently posed for the pictures that will be featured in the magazine's January/February issue.
This week, a picture snapped of the cover featuring Lohan was leaked online, and on Friday, nude pictures of the actress also landed on the Web. Those pictures are very similar to Marilyn Monroe's iconic centerfold photograph used in 1953's first Playboy issue.
