Heavy snowfall in the northern part of the country has delayed shooting of Lootera starring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, sources said. The heavy precipitation has damaged the set erected at Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh, they said, adding the inclement weather has resulted into the movie unit being stranded in a snowstorm, including Ranveer who is stuck in Jammu for the last two days.
Lootera, which is a period love story set in 1950s, is being produced by Phantom Productions and Balaji Motion Pictures. Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted, "Just spoke to all. Ranveer who's off to Dalhousie to shoot the second schedule of our Lootera. He's stuck in Jammu thanks to the snow (sic)."
Ranveer could not reach Dalhousie as he got stuck in Jammu owning to heavy snowfall. The roads in Jammu are completely wrapped under snow and the actor will have to wait till they are cleared, sources said, adding even though Sonakshi has reached the hill station she has not been able to step out for shooting.
"Director Vikramaditya Motwane along with other cast and crew was out on a recce of the set constructed in Gawar, an area three kilometres off Dalhousie. The entire set construction team is afraid to have stranded there due to snow. Vikramaditya has even decided to stay back with them," they said.
